Gary Calamar, president of Go Music, is a five time Grammy-nominated producer and music supervisor known for his work on “Six Feet Under” (HBO), “True Blood” (HBO), “Man In The High Castle” (Amazon), “House” (Fox),”Dexter” (Showtime) “Entourage” (HBO) and “Weeds” (Showtime). His current projects include Three Body Problem (Netflix) and Titans (HBO Max). Gary has also music supervised the films “Uncle Frank”, “Carrie Pilby”, “Slums Of Beverly Hills”, “I Love You Philip Morris” and “Varsity Blues,” for which he received a gold record. Gary is the longtime host of a hit radio show every Sunday night on the Independent 88.5 KCSN after leaving KCRW in 2018. Gary’s unique brand of “adventurous pop music both timely and timeless” has been a favorite of listeners for over 2 decades. Gary’s book (with Phil Gallo) “Record Store Days” about record store culture past and present, was released in April 2010. Gary is also a songwriter with several releases. He co-wrote “Let’s Boot and Rally” performed by Iggy Pop and Bethany Cosentino (Best Coast) which was named by Rolling Stone magazine as one of Iggy’s all time best collaboration.
